For the 2014 World Championships the promoter is committed to :
  • The provision of medals
  • Winners and runners-up receiving trophies
  • Live video streaming (subject to TV contract)
  • Provision of Sky TV coverage
  • Seeking local sponsorship for each WBC category
ISP Scotland will create a website so that participants will know exactly how arrangements are progressing week upon week. The promoter hopes to have more countries represented at the 2014 World Blackball Championship than ever before.

Blackball International was formed in 2005, as an official division of the World Pool Association, to promote the sport of blackball pool, promulgate blackball rules and oversee the organisation of the bi-annual World Blackball Championships.
The four previous World Blackball Championships were held in Blackpool, England (2012); Limoges, France (2010); Swaziland, South Africa (2008) and Cork, Ireland (2006).

Team Scotland can boast of a tremendous record in past World Blackball Championships, with considerable success in every category and event. These successes include being the World Champions in men's and ladies categories as both individual players and teams.
